Exploring Snoqualmie

Wander & Explore

If your not from the area and have a little time before or after your appointment, Snoqualmie and nearby North Bend have plenty worth lingering for. Here are a few places to eat, wander, and enjoy the area.

See the elk

Keep an eye out for the elk herd any where along the path from Centennial Park to Meadowbrook Interpretive Center. They aren’t always visible, but catching sight of them against the valley and mountains is one of those little Snoqualmie/North Bend moments that never really gets old. Early morning and just before dusk tend to be good times to look.

Tollgate Farm Park

A family-friendly park in the foothill of the Cascades. It has sweeping mountain views, a giant open meadow, trails that wind past actual farm animals, a fenced in playground for the kids, and great veggies and local goodies on Saturdays & Sundays!

Visit the Falls

If you’ve never seen Snoqualmie Falls in person, it’s absolutely worth the short trip. The overlook is easy to access and gives you a dramatic view of the 268-foot waterfall and surrounding valley.

It can get busy, especially on weekends, so earlier in the day is often a nicer time to visit.

Wander Historic Downtown

Take a little time to wander through historic downtown Snoqualmie, where you’ll find the old railroad depot, small shops, and a walkable stretch of Railroad Avenue. It’s an easy place to linger for a bit — especially if you’re already stopping for coffee, cookies, or ice cream.

Take in Mt. Si & North Bend

Mt. Si is hard to miss, and part of the charm of being in the Snoqualmie Valley is simply catching different views of it as you move through the area. If you have a little extra time, North Bend offers plenty of places to slow down, take in the mountain, and enjoy the scenery without committing to a full hike.

Eat

A few local spots that I have either tried myself or come highly recommended and may be worth checking out!

14303 436th Ave SE | North Bend

A popular, family- and dog-friendly community gathering hub and Pacific Northwest gastropub located at the entrance of the Cascade Mountains.

7726 Center Blvd SE Snoqualmie

A Snoqualmie restaurant focused on multi-regional Indian cuisine, with a particular emphasis on South Indian dishes from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

7802 Center Blvd SE Snoqualmie

A casual Mexican spot on Snoqualmie Ridge known for generous portions, flavorful sauces, and a relaxed neighborhood feel.

Coffee & Something Sweet

A few places for coffee, cookies, ice cream, or a little treat if you head down into the valley.

7936 Railroad Ave. Snoqualmie

A local drive-thru and walk-up coffee stand in historic downtown Snoqualmie. I’ve had their coffee and it’s good — an easy stop if you want something quick before or after your appointment.

8103 Falls Ave SE Snoqualmie

Big, bakery-style cookies with rotating flavors. I can personally vouch for the gluten-free chocolate chip — definitely worth a stop if you’re craving something sweet.

8102 Railroad Ave Snoqualmie

A downtown scoop shop with a rotating selection of classic and seasonal flavors. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve heard good things.
